I can find plenty of posts for error 306, but nothing helpful for 303. System only has one monitor, and it is not even running at 1080p(it's a TV, and that's for text visibility for my wife) nothing, verified that the HDMI port is working, rebooted, reseated cables, and the card, nothing running as administrator. (Error: Shared IPC Compositor Connect Failed(303))" I've reinstalled SteamVR, reinstalled drivers again. Today however, I went to fire up Beat Saber, only to have "SteamVR failed to initialized for unknown reasons. I discovered that it was the video drivers, reinstalled the latest drivers, all worked fine. Upon reinstalling my power supply, and video card, system worked fine, but VR wouldn't work. During it's down time, we removed the video card, and used the onboard video(backup PSU does not have an 8pin PCI-e). Players are reporting that Half-Life Alyx either doesn’t launch at all or jut crashes upon startup. If the error persists then delete and reinstall Steam VR. Update Steam VR and the error will be fixed. If Steam VR is installed then chances are you haven’t updated it. Just install it and the issue will be resolved. This error is probably popping up due to Steam VR not being installed. Players are reporting that when they start the game they get the “STEAM VR FAILED TO Initialize” error with ERROR CODE VRintError_init_ PathRegistryNot Found Installation path could not be located” error. If you have a powerful system then you can increase the graphics quality without a dip in performance. Apparently, this error popping is a bug for some players. This isn’t’ a critical issue as the players are still able to play the game. Players are reporting that even with an RTX 2080 Ti they are getting the “Low Available GPU Memory” error. Apply the change the start Half-Life Alyx, it should run with audio. Select your active audio device > properties > Spatial Sound tab > select off from the menu. Click on “Sound Control Panel” to the right. Right-click on the sound icon in the bottom-right of the desktop > Spatial sound > Off. Windows Sonic For headphones might be the issue. Some players are reporting that they don’t get any sound while playing the game. Start the game and it should load the level. Once you have done that, verify the game files.
